A Twisted Fate

With the war against the invading Faceless drawing to a close, Magical Girl Starlight Blaze really can't imagine losing. After all, she was one of the initial team of magical girls, serving on the front lines since the very beginning of the invasion. With the rift almost sealed, the Faceless can no longer muster anywhere near the forces they used to. She no longer believes the mindless monsters pose a threat.

Alas, as the saying goes, pride comes before a fall.

When it turns out that the monsters are, perhaps, not quite mindless after all, she finds herself trapped on the wrong side of the rift. Worse, she soon learns that the patron who bestowed her powers upon the team of magical girls might not be quite the bastion of love and justice that everyone had assumed.

Surviving in the foreign world will require some thought on who her allies really are, some bending of morals and even some questioning of the nature of life and death. But that's just surviving.

Getting home, though... With the rift sealed for good, it's getting home that's going to be the real trick.
